Where to stay in Seattle for Good Shopping?

Shopping in Seattle is such a joy that one day is never enough to visit all the malls and shopping centers you’ve targeted. Below are some of the good places to stay during your shopping getaway.

Pioneer Square

This area is famous for its historical sites, impressive architecture and diverse nightlife. Yet, it also abounds in some famous shops such as Bon Voyage Vintage, a vintage clothing store, Agate Designs, the mecca of stone collectors, and Clementines, a shop offering elegant women’s footwear.

If this is your area of choice, you have three accommodation options: Best Western Plus Pioneer Square Hotel, Courtyard Seattle Downtown / Pioneer Square and Silver Cloud Hotel – Seattle Stadium. All three hotels are quite nice, but the last one is especially suitable for couples.

Downtown/Waterfront

Within walking distance of Elliot Bay, Queen Anne, the famous Capitol Hill and Pioneer Square, this is the throbbing heart of the city and a great departure point of your shopping trip, too!

One of the most exotic stores in the area is Ye Olde Curiosity Shop, where you can buy a wide selection of oddities like shrunken heads and even some Native American art. If this is your preferred location, you can check in at Hotel Sorrento, which offers very reasonable room rates for its great location.

Capitol Hill

The center of hipster culture in Seattle attracts travelers from far and wide. Prominent shops in the area are Target, where you can buy all sorts of electronic devices, Revival Shop Seattle, a perfect spot to buy some vintage clothing items, and Glasswing Shop that sells clothes, home goods, and even plants!

If this is your shopping area of choice you can book a room at some neat B&B such as Bacon Mansion Bed and Breakfast, for example.
